Heather Kraty of Island Cowgirl, one of our most popular jewelry artists, has created another stunningly fun necklace! This one has smooth black suede that is joined by a star charm that says "lucky" on the back. Different lengths of chain freely sway from the precious stone Sugilite. The back of this piece has a moveable bead that alters the length. Measures 36" and adjusts.
Each free-spirited creation is hand carved by the artist and then cast in sterling plate, silver filled or sterling silver components using the ancient art of lost wax casting. She only uses semi-precious stones and recycled metals.
About the artist: Born in upstate New York, Heather Kraty studied design at NYC's Fashion Institute of Technology, where she began her love affair with jewelry. After graduating she fled the noise of the city and found her way to the Caribbean Island of St. Martin where she sold her jewelry on the beach. Influenced by her years in the islands and her home out west in Huntington Beach, California, Heather now devotes her days to creating beauty.
